Human Resources Business Partner
As a member of the Human Resources team, you will be a part of transforming Human Resources to a Business Partner role by being both strategic and tactical, and working closely with the CHRO and agency team.
As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible to execute the HR strategy and priorities in support of agency objectives. You will provide expertise and advice in the areas of talent management, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, and organizational development.
You will build trusted relationships, exercise good judgment and work effectively across the organizational matrix, bringing people together to build solutions. You will need to assess situations, identify solutions, anticipate challenges, and take decisive action is essential to assess, solve problems, anticipate, and take appropriate action.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coach managers to navigate and resolve employee relations issues, develop their teams, and grow talent. Investigate and seek to resolve employee relations matters.
- Utilize HR information systems (HRIS) and technology to enhance service delivery and provide accurate data and reporting, metrics, records management, etc.
- Prepare and deliver strategic people metrics and reporting to help understand trends and facilitate people and organizational decisions.
- Lead process improvement projects to improve efficiencies and build processes including file management.
- Facilitate the annual performance development cycle collaborating with leaders to interpret performance management principles, metrics and goals setting, and rewards and recognition.
- Communicate, and implement pro-active employee relations strategies.
- Lead initiatives and events that foster a positive organizational culture and encourages employee engagement, ensuring the organization develops and retains talent.
- Supports organizational effectiveness activities including leadership development and change management.
- Responsible for employment compliance efforts such as Affirmative Action Plans, Draft and submit mandatory reports and communications
- Manage training and continuing education and establish an automated training system.
- Facilitate the talent management & succession planning processes.
- Support the mission to attract, retain, and develop an engaged workforce.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years’ work experience in a HR Business Partner role
- Experience in a key HR process area such as Employee Relations, Compensation, or other
- Hands on experience in complex organizations
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
- Experience in process improvement and leading change – Six Sigma & Lean experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
